Earlier this week, Cream, the development team behind the Pokemon-esque MMO Temtem, released the first part of Temtem’s content roadmap. The team went to their blog to post about how the game will be getting 50 new Temtem and two brand-new islands before the end of the year. There are also some new features coming such as ranked matchmaking, player housing, in-game chat, and more emotes.

Today, Crema released the mid-term and complete roadmap for Temtem and a bunch of exciting new stuff is in the works.Starting in the Winter of 2020, there will be a new island called Arbury, 30 new more new Temtem, a second mythical Temtem, Club Dojo Wars, a Trading House, and updates on Ranked Matchmaking and Spectator Mode. In spring 2021, Crema hopes to have the game ready for its 1.0 launch. That also means this is when the console ports will start to roll out. They’ll also have a new end-game island and a cosmetics store. Summer 2021 will see the rollout of a special “Nuzlocke” game mode and a cosmetics battle pass, among other features. The Nuzlocke mode is particularly intriguing. It serves as a hardcore mode where your Temtem are permanently released if they’re knocked out. PVP is still possible in the mode, so if you want to risk everything, you absolutely can.

Last stop on our roadmap is Summer 2021, which adds a cosmetic-based Battle Pass system, a third mythical Temtem, and a Nuzlocke mode. Nuzlocke is much like an Iron Man mode in other games where if a Temtem is knocked out it's considered "dead” and can no longer be used. In Temtem, Nuzlocke mode will also make it so only one or two Temtem can be caught per area, making each capture a carefully considered decision.
