The game play was alright and there's lots of variety in the items of maple story. The classes are unique with some. I haven't seen on any other game before. Its an easy interface to master, but at the start is easy to miss some skills and items in the tutorial that cant be acquired later on that are vital to survival in some aspects, and the importance isn't stated by NPC's on the island. It gets difficult to level up later on with some quests that are totally pointless. It balances it out pretty well.
I know this because I have played Maple Story for 3 months now. I have a level 89 Dragon Knight and I only play for 4-5 hours a day. My cousin has played for 3 weeks now and he has a level 46 Assassin. The game does offer totally ability to be unique with many different armors and clothes available. It is playable but it isn't quite my type of game. Pro's It is totally free Great community Extensive selection of equipment Easy play and interface Fun to dress characters Only things that aren't necessary for gameplay are in the cash shop Con's Lag's Bad Graphics Very boring at times All the characters are made to look happy and always smiling even the monsters of maple story while they are getting killed. This was in a way negative to me and made me depressed in a way.
Quest can be a bit tedious and hard with a pointless outcome Hackers Some things are still written in Korean / Chinese ( ??? ) Overall i'd say this wasn't one of my best gaming experiences and i was disappointed of it very quick, if you enjoy playing it I think thats great and you should keep on maple story. But all in all I've played better.
