Call it a guilty pleasure, but I am probably going to start the season casual with killing spree as I always enjoyed being a combat rogue, and the spec never felt better. You get incredible sustained damage on top of ridiculous burst damage every 1:15 via killing spree, throw in 40% frontal avoidance and you can pretty much outmuscle any melee.
I really wish I bought fist or sword instead as they get almost the same damage bonus of mace against heavy armor, and are quite a bit better against light armor. Chain crits and sword procs go a long way in squeezing out extra burst damage, combined with killing spree it is simply devastating in 2v2. Having said that, mace spec is probably the only spec that can make use of expose armor, as 35% armor reduction, even with Blizzard math is a pretty decent damage increase against heavy armor. And eviscerate with improved eviscerate, wow gold aggression and prey on the weak can crit of ridiculous numbers to Buy World of Warcraft Gold.
With unforgivable kidney shot and killing spree on 1:15 CD, I feel I have a huge edge over all other rogues once I survive their opening stun lock. With 800 resilience, battle master, cloak of shadow glyph, evasion, 40% frontal avoidance when evasion is not up, and nerves of steel, I have more than enough survivability in 2v2.
Unfortunately as the numbers of players go up, killing spree turns really soft in 3v3 and forgets about landing a killing spree in 5v5. I will give AR/prep a try when my ratings are still low, and see what happens. AR/prep should in theory, give me an edge in RMP rogue vs rogue mirrors, and do quite a bit better against cleave teams about Gold WoW.
