When Celeborn and Galadriel passed into Middle-earth, they settled at last beyond the Misty Mountains among the silvan folk of Laurelind¨®renan, the Land of the Valley of Singing Gold. It¡¯s name sprang from the colours of the mallorn trees which grow there, whose leaves turn golden in the autumn. Lord Celeborn is acknowledged throughout Middle-earth as the wisest of the Wise, gold to wow while Galadriel his wife is known to have the gift of foresight, though much of the truth lies in the Ring of Power she secretly wields: Nenya, the Ring of Adamant. Together they rule the Golden Wood, protecting it through the power of Nenya.
