Atari and CCP have confirmed some details regarding the boxed edition of their space MMORPG, Eve Online. The game, which has been available as a digital download for several years now, will be re-released in stores in North America on March 10th, 2009 and in Europe and Asia Pacific regions on March 12th.

The EVE Online box will include all nine previously released expansions plus the forthcoming tenth expansion entitled EVE Online: Apocrypha which introduces numerous new features including unstable wormholes to explore, new enemies to fight, and modular ships that pilots may tailor-build to suit their own specifications and needs. The boxed edition of the game will come with 60 days of free game time. This game time can be split into to 30 day 'Pilot License Extensions' (PLEX) codes, which can be sold to other players for the in game currency (ISK), or used to extend an existing subscription.
