WoW Gold-Tournament Realm Phase 4 |
|
WoW Gold-Tournament Realm Phase 4 To the surprise of many players, Blizzard decided to patch 3.1 on the same day that the final qualifying week (where all the marbles count) of the tournament realms. Aside from making the game entirely different for many 3v3 comps out there, Blizzard pulled an even more unexpected move of not resetting the TR ladders for this final push. I honestly can't fathom what Blizzard's logic was (or lack thereof) in making this decision, but there are already some reports from TR coming in such as this one: (12:00:29 AM): looks like everyone is going to camp their ratings, ive been watching complexity and they're getting 2 point wins at 2384 (12:00:32 AM): and they're down 100 points" I don't really understand the point of even having this final and deciding week when there are so many inherent flaws in the current implementation of it. WoW Gold.I think Knit summed it up best with his thoughts on the matter in a post on the TR forums about this very topic: "Biased is biased. Is it honestly fair for the one week qualifier to be the same week as a game changing patch? Balance issues be damned, it's stupid that there isn't at least some time to adjust to the patch before the real things begins. Can't it argue that about WoW Gold? Some classes¡¯ strategy and play style will have to change significantly this patch in order to function, but I guess people playing RMP don't care.WoW Gold. Run in spam dispel and blow 10 minutes of cool downs in the first 30 seconds of the game, nothing changes. Buying cheaper WoW Gold is not an easy job. Bottom line, the qualifier should have either been played on 3.09 or there should be a 2-4 week delay to properly adjust to the new patch. Obviously Blizzard doesn't care much at all about this though, so just have to roll with the punches!" I don't always agree with Kintt Arthur but he¡¯s 100% right about this and the fact that Blizzard hasn't even made any statements on this matter when there is so much riding on the line is laughable. If things continue this way, the top 8 teams will basically remain the top 8 teams, and not only that, but out of the top 10 teams, multiple teams are played by the same players because they were the ones that put in the most time while most simply wanted to get 200 games in and to just practice for the "real" invitational.WoW Gold. I'm almost certain that the majority of the competitors on TR assumed that the ladder would be reset so why not do it? Add another week onto the invitational, as well, for that matter. A one-week final phase in an entirely new patch when every other phase was two weeks long seems asinine. |
