My guild has grown tired of WoW. Ulduar has taken much too long to come out and we lost a massive amount of our player-base due to boredom/burnout while waiting. We are considering starting anew with another MMO since we will have to rebuild anyway.

I am currently building a new Game Rig, soon, eq2 plat and will be getting EQ, EQ2 and Vanguard but it will be quite some time before I would be able to get to end game and report back the CURRENT raiding experience.

The players in my guild include myself with server first raid experience and a core of players that were once competing for world firsts back in Classic wow, we are hard core to say the least. We simply cannot find dedicated players anymore that are willing to do things for the guild, another hugely lacking part of WoW is their lack of guild support via halls etc all we have is a gbank...

At any rate we are looking for raids that are of classic wow feel, where you have to work towards it, months on C'thun and 4H, from BWL up to Naxx.

Where can we find that in the SOE family of MMOs?

I have read that EQ offers the best scripted raids period but that it is difficult to level and to expect up to a year to be max level and raiding end game current xpac content.

I have read that EQ2 offers a closer WoW experience with all of the benefits left out such as a great crafting system and guild halls, eq2 plat player housing etc but that the raiding is easy and boring.

I have read that Vanguard is the best MMO ever made but it has no endgame and had a bad launch and has a very small exclusive player base, and it has end game now, but I cant find any information on it.

We are looking at AOC and WAR as well, but I do not think those will pan out.

Regardless, I am jumping into EQ2 asap, I want WoW with more depth, but if the raiding isn't there may-haps I should get into original EQ?
