NCsoft, the developer and publisher of MMO games, has done quite well with Guild Wars, which has sold over 6 million units. Now NCsoft has revealed some details for the standard edition and Limited Collector¡¯s Edition retail products for their next MMO, Aion. The MMORPG uses the CryEngine and has already been released in the developer¡¯s native South Korea last year and in China sometime last month.

Aion boasts of more than 1,500 quests as players take to the air and engage in gut-wrenching battles. The game provides a huge amount of character customization and breath-taking visuals. guild wars gold The entire game takes place in another world called the Abyss while the game system puts players not only against each other but also against their environments.

The standard edition of Aion comes packaged in a premium SteelBook metal case and includes a DVD of the game as well as a quick reference card and a user manual.

The Limited Collector¡¯s Edition of Aion comes with a six and a half inch hand-painted figurine of the female winged Asmodian Daeva, Aiva with a removable axe and detachable wings. The Collector¡¯s Edition also includes two dual-side posters of the maps of Elysea and Asmodae, as well as the game¡¯s official soundtrack, the Aion game client on 2 DVDs, plus a game manual and a quick reference card.

In addition, the Aion Limited Collector¡¯s Edition also contains several in-game items including the Black Cloud Earring which boosts mana and health, the Black Cloud Wings which improve flight time, and an exclusive title which helps enhance the avatar¡¯s abilities. guild wars gold Also exclusive to the Limited Collector¡¯s Edition are two character animations called emotes and a special dye which can be used to customize the avatar¡¯s equipment.

Aion will be available in Europe and North America this fall. The standard edition is expected to retail for 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,355) while the Limited Collector¡¯s Edition is expected to retail for 69.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,295). Both the retail packs include 30 days of game time, after which a monthly subscription of 14.99 USD (approx. Rs. 705) will apply. Pre-ordering of both editions of the game will begin on June 9, 2009 and further details will be revealed later.
