One of the most popular character choices by World of Warcraft players is in fact the Priest class. This could be explained by their ability to outlive most of the other character classes. More often than not individuals who prefer to play supporting roles rather than a more prominent role choose the Priest. All Priest learn the basic skills, most will specialize in a particular field though stem from the basic mold.

As you would expect there are limitations such as: a cloth based armor and weapon selection such as mace, dagger and stave. There are limitations to the Priest, such as the fact that you can only wear armor that is composed of cloth, and as far as weapons, you may only select maces, daggers, and staves. Race Selection

When it comes to either faction of Horde or Alliance you can select from the following races:

Alliance

• Humans
• Night Elves
• Draenei
• Dwarves

• Blood Elf
• Undead
• Troll

There are 3 different specs related with the Priest Talent Tree these are Discipline, Holy and Shadow.

Discipline

When casting spells discipline will allow you to have increases in relation to the amount of damage you can cause. You can also increase the "Buff" options during game play. This is also known as the most common talent build as it allows you to improve your healing and buff spells.

Holy

Holy will allow the Priest to rule in relation to healing themselves and other characters. When focused on this talent you can increase your popularity in relation to Raids, Instances and PvP. Considered the most basic talent build, you can gain enough points through Discipline, although the core build is through Holy.

Shadow

If you want to focus on leveling and are playing solo most of the time, this is the talent you want to focus on. Shadow will allow you to increase the overall damage you cause whilst limiting the amount of mana used. Considered the top talent build, you will have a better DPS as opposed to focusing on Holy or Discipline.

Priest can be a fantastic offensive or defensive weapon during play, although you must browse around to find builds that suit your needs and how you would like to play the game.
