| As of this writing, Happyminti/Venruki/Sodah's RMP tanked hard on US tournament realm, and they are fighting for their lives to hold onto the 8th and final spot.wow gold Pookz's RMP is around 6th or 7th and also hoping they will make the regionals. Sure, the fact that the final week of TR was played without a rating reset AND in 3.1 was very poor taste on Blizzard's part, but it is still hard to believe that despite the strength of the comp in 3.1, American RMPs are really struggling to finish top 8. Priest was always the weak link of RMPs in S5. The Priest spent much less WoW gold in the all of classes. They ran out of mana extremely fast especially against hunter teams, and they were very vulnerable to cleave teams like DK/rogue/paladin in the WoW. The RMP delivers its damage in waves usually triggered by rogue energy bars. Back in TBC, a top RMP had enough lasting power to deliver 4-5 rounds of bursts while squeezing the enemy out of their major defensive CDs. In S5, you really don't have much more than 2-3 loads. And there were many lower rated teams/comps that can tank a RMP by simply rushing the priest of WoW.wow gold It doesn't matter how skilled you are, when the gate opens and you see hunter/feral/paladin, dk/dk/shaman, or dk/rogue/paladin, and they are a 3-5 point team, you know you are in for the fight of your life. With 3.1 however, priest survivability and mana efficiency has improved by leaps and bounds, and DK, hunter both took significant hits. So what prevented American RMPs from cleaning house? One man, one spec, that is why. The one class that broke the heart of Koreans at Blizzcon, played by Azael, who spent a lot of time playing destruction pre-patch, giving him a huge edge over the likes of Glick/Shinaniganz. His rogue/lock/shaman team took 1st place on American TR, and the destruction warlock is a worse target than DKs for RMPs. Backlash gives you a free instant shadow bolt every 8 seconds whenever a rogue decides to sit on you. And nether protection is a nightmare for any caster who dares to DPS the warlock. Coupled with the new soullink glyph + molten skin for another 11% in damage reduction, you just can't kill a great destruction warlock like Azael. Of course, the RMP does not have to focus on the warlock to win. A great RMP is more than capable of scoring a kill on the rogue, and that is where the consistency of Zyz comes in. When you are talking about great rogues, Zyz never enters anyone's mind.wow gold A lot of it has to do with the fact that he plays with a warlock instead of mage, so instead of flashy burst chains, he is a defensive stopper that focuses on peels and survivability. Realz called Zyz the most consistent American rogue, and coupled with Azael's perfectly timed shadow fury stuns to break opposing rogue stunlocks (and of course, coil/fear for additional peels), it is extremely difficult to land a kill on Zyz or Kollektiv. America runs on warlocks, I really believe destruction warlock is the one thing that will surprise European/Korean RMPs come global finals. |
