Many FFXI players want to copy items free. Some players know an old method, which needs two swards, and you also need to pay ffxi gil. You have to pay 40000 gil to copy a Defender, however, you only need to pay 10 gil to cop a Excalibur. It seems make no sense. But anyway, a friend told me a method needs neither gil nor copying two swards. The only condition is the sward you want to copy must stronger than any weapon in the store, at the same time, the character can equip a sward or shield for sale in the store. And, the armor of the character must stronger than any of that in the store, so that it won¡¯t be replaced for the order of ¡°choosing the strongest equipment¡±. First, take the equipment you want to copy, go into the fitting room of the store, and choose whatever equipment in your another hand, this will make your first equipment disappeared. Then choose ¡°the strongest equipment¡±, then your first equipment will come back. Choose ¡°try to finish¡±, now you should have another weapon or shield which you want to copy.
There are some rare equipments which can¡¯t be copied in this way, such as Nagrarock, Healing Staff, and Mace of Zeus. We are looking for methods to copy these equipments, too. Hope we could share when anything useful was found.
