Following in the footsteps of other MMOs, Guild Wars Factions is getting ready to kick off some in-game festivities for players. Unlike a normal summertime bash with burgers, buns, and beer, the Dragon Festival is a commemorative event celebrating the resilience of the Empire of the Dragon.
There will be carnival games (no word on whether or not shady gentlemen with massive tattoos and missing teeth will be manning the booths) such a variant of Whack-A-Mole, Whack-A-Worm, special PvP settings, Dragon Festival specific quests, and Asian treats like rice wine and red bean cake.guild wars gold Players can speak to NPC without any Guild Wars Gold.
The event is taking place near the Shing Jea Monastery on June 30, and runs till July 5. Apparently, there is a surprise at the end that will shock all Canthans, so plan on being their for the big finale. Heck, there's less chance of being by mosquitoes, too.
With the combined power of Guild Wars and Guild Wars Fractions, the franchise has now managed to surpassed the two units sold worldwide checkpoint, making the developer ArenaNet and the publisher NCsoft some pretty happy parents today.
Guild Wars Fractions also gets a little time alone in the spotlight today, as NCsoft and ArenaNet point out that the game topped the sales charts for PC games in May.
