No matter how many breaks we take, no matter how many complaints we have, no matter how many times we want to crack our screen in frustration - we always come back. We play because WE are the soul of WoW. Our characters, graphic, transient representations of ourselves, are inextricably linked to us. It's out of the love that we log in to continue the perpetual, rhythmic grind.
Despite the fact that I rolled a troll shaman, I do play to win. wow gold Overcoming challenges, no matter how imaginary, appeals to our basic human desires to completely and utterly destroy something. I guess you could work on your cooking achievements, but let's be real: 90% of the game is spent violently hitting things with something shiny to get something shinier. Buying cheaper WoW Gold is not an easy job.
This is also true in PvP, arguably the most frustrating thing to play if you desire this seemingly nebulous concept called ¡°balance¡±. I mean. Sure. It's a difficult ideal to achieve in this genre of game and frankly, the vast majority of opinions you read on the Internet about balance are pretty much full of dirty words. But I think everyone can agree that you can't take some random guy who's idea of balance seems to be based on the opinions of people who don't play the game and make him Lead System's Designer.
Do I blame this guy for hitting double human rogue/rogue every time my 2v2 team is about to cross the threshold into a new bracket? No. But I will say that the face of WoW's imbalance looks like a heroin addict. I take it in stride, and I keep queuing. I do it for the love. For all of the limitations I have as a player, and even the limitations of the class, it doesn't matter.
The commercial is inspirational not only in the sense of its original context (and the NBA playoffs just so happen to be happening now) but also can be interpreted metaphorically. wow gold I won't insult your intelligence and go though every line, but here's what resonates with me, ¡°Before old school, before new school, before school had a name....there was only the ball and the soul of the game.¡± Since I started playing in 2004, the game's changed a lot. Mostly better. The player base is smarter, the grinds aren't as bad, PvP actually takes skill rather than simply time (or a girlfriend who can grind honor for you while you sleep) and with the release of Ulduar we have raids that are fun again. Though, there are some people who are nostalgic for the old days. |
